Shadal and Malbim both learn the pasuk to be about the samem topic: how a wise judge gets the wicked to confess (although Shadal, in our view, provides a more compelling reading of the words in the pasuk). We spent today unpacking and refining our understanding of their ideas. Tomorrow the plan is to move on to the next pasuk.
